「この願いは成就しがたい。夫と息子の滅びを招くであろう。されば、天に住まう汝らより賜る恩寵(ヴァラ)を、どうして受け取れようか。」

Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: karuna
Secondary Rasa: dharmic shanta
It highlights dharma-guided discernment: even a divine boon should be refused if it violates righteousness or causes harm, showing that virtue is higher than supernatural gain.
Bhakti is not mere petitioning for favors; it is alignment with dharma. The speaker’s refusal models devotion expressed through integrity and protection of rightful duties toward family.
No specific Vedanga (like Vyakarana, Jyotisha, or Kalpa) is directly taught; the practical takeaway is ethical application of dharma—evaluating consequences before accepting vows, gifts, or boons.
