वैलक्ष्यमगमद्राजा रविसूनुर्द्विजोत्तमाः । लेख्यकर्मणि विश्रांतश्चित्रगुप्तोऽभवत्तदा ॥ १८ ॥
vailakṣyamagamadrājā ravisūnurdvijottamāḥ | lekhyakarmaṇi viśrāṃtaścitragupto'bhavattadā || 18 ||
おお、最勝の二度生まれよ。太陽の子たる王は恥じ入り当惑した。その時チトラグプタは、書記としての務め—業の記録—に没頭していた。
