Prabodhinī Ekādaśī, Kārtika-vrata, and Satya-dharma

शिशूनां वलिगात्राणां न युक्तं समुपोषणम् । यज्ञभोगोद्यतानां च संग्रामक्षितिसेविनाम् ॥ ७६ ॥

śiśūnāṃ valigātrāṇāṃ na yuktaṃ samupoṣaṇam | yajñabhogodyatānāṃ ca saṃgrāmakṣitisevinām || 76 ||

厳しい断食は、乳児にはふさわしくない。身体が弱く痩せ衰えた者にも、祭祀(ヤジュニャ)の供分を受ける務めにある者にも、また戦場と国土護持に奉仕する者にも適さない。
