Honoring the Mother (Mātṛpūjanam): Consent, Equity, and Dana to Restore Household Dharma

जनितारं हि मे भस्म कुर्य्युर्देव्यः पतिव्रताः । किं पुनः प्राकृतं भूप त्वादृशीं तथा ॥ ९ ॥

janitāraṃ hi me bhasma kuryyurdevyaḥ pativratāḥ | kiṃ punaḥ prākṛtaṃ bhūpa tvādṛśīṃ tathā || 9 ||

貞節の誓いに堅く立つ天なる妻たちは、まことに我が生みの親さえ灰と化し得る。ましてや王よ、そのように振る舞う汝のごとき凡夫に、いかほどのことができようか。
