The Narrative of the Pativrata

Narada (narrative instruction within a tīrtha-māhātmya context in Uttara-bhāga)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It teaches that sincere service (śuśrūṣā) performed even toward someone considered “lower” yields great merit—reaching heaven—and that inner intention (manas) shapes one’s later spiritual standing.
Though not explicitly naming Viṣṇu-bhakti, it highlights a bhakti-like ethic: humble, selfless service and purity of intention are spiritually elevating and determine one’s future state.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is taught here; the practical takeaway is dharma-ethics—service, humility, and the role of intention in karma-phala.
