The Narrative of the Pativrata
तस्याः स्नेहवियोगार्थं तप्यते ताम्रभ्राष्टके । यथा सुखं भवेद्भर्तुस्तथा कार्यं हि भार्यया ॥ ५४ ॥
tasyāḥ snehaviyogārthaṃ tapyate tāmrabhrāṣṭake | yathā sukhaṃ bhavedbhartustathā kāryaṃ hi bhāryayā || 54 ||
その過度の執着を断つために、彼女は灼熱の銅の盤の上で苦しめられる。まことに妻は、夫の安寧と幸福が成るように行ずべきである。
