Dialogue of Father and Son (Pitṛputra-saṃvāda) — Mohinī Episode
कस्मिन्स्थाने त्वियं प्राप्ता सूर्यायुतसमप्रभा । मन्ये निर्वेदमापन्न इमां सृष्ट्वा प्रजापतिः ॥ ४४ ॥
kasminsthāne tviyaṃ prāptā sūryāyutasamaprabhā | manye nirvedamāpanna imāṃ sṛṣṭvā prajāpatiḥ || 44 ||
おお、万の太陽に等しい光輝を放つ御方よ、いずこへ至られたのですか。思うに、プラジャーパティ(創造主)はこの世界を造り終えて、厭離の心に沈んだのでしょう。
Narada (addressing a radiant divine lady/deity within the tirtha-mahatmya narrative)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It contrasts overwhelming divine radiance with the Creator’s possible nirveda (dispassion), hinting that even cosmic creation is ultimately secondary to spiritual detachment and higher truth.
By implying the insufficiency of mere creation and splendor, it nudges the listener toward seeking the transcendent—an inner turning that, in the Purāṇic framework, matures into devotion to the Supreme beyond worldly manifestation.
No direct Vedāṅga instruction is given; the verse is primarily narrative and philosophical, using cosmological vocabulary (Prajāpati, sṛṣṭi) rather than technical disciplines like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa.
