It frames pilgrimage (tīrtha-yātrā) as a dharmic, orderly journey: sacred geography is approached through a proper “method” (prakāra), not merely by physical travel.
While not explicitly naming bhakti, it supports devotional practice indirectly by directing rulers toward tīrthas—places traditionally approached with reverence, vows, and worship that culminate in Viṣṇu-smaraṇa and merit.
Directional orientation (dik-nirdeśa) reflects practical sacred-ritual geography used in yātrā and rites; it aligns with traditional calendrical and spatial discipline often coordinated with Jyotiṣa-based timing for travel and worship.
