FAQs

It frames the setting of a tīrtha-māhātmya: the teaching is delivered at Viśrānti-tīrtha and the Varāha temple, indicating that the place and deity-context sanctify and intensify the merit and insight of the discourse.

By centering the narration in Varāha’s temple, the verse directs the listener toward Viṣṇu-bhakti—hearing sacred kathā in the presence of the Lord’s form is presented as a devotional gateway to grace and purification.

No specific Vedāṅga technique is taught in this verse; it primarily highlights tīrtha practice—listening to Purāṇic kathā at a consecrated site and deity-temple as a recognized dharmic ritual context.
