The Vision of Mohinī (मोहिनी-दर्शनम्)
नाप्रसन्नें जगन्नाथे भवेयुरिति निश्चितम् । पूर्वजन्मनि देवेशस्त्वयाशून्येन पूजितः ॥ १४ ॥
nāprasanneṃ jagannāthe bhaveyuriti niścitam | pūrvajanmani deveśastvayāśūnyena pūjitaḥ || 14 ||
ジャガンナータが歓喜されねば、吉祥は決して成就しないと定まっている。前生において汝は、諸天の主を揺るがぬ信愛をもって礼拝した。
Sanatkumara (in dialogue with Narada)
Vrata: none
Rasa: {"primary_rasa":"bhakti","secondary_rasa":"shanta","emotional_journey":"Moves from a firm doctrinal certainty (without God’s pleasure nothing succeeds) to reassurance via the king’s past-life devotion."}
The verse teaches that auspicious results depend on the Lord’s prasāda (pleasure/grace), and it links present spiritual fortune to sincere worship performed in a previous birth.
It emphasizes that bhakti is not merely external ritual—Jagannātha must be truly pleased—so worship offered with aśūnya (whole, undivided) devotion becomes the decisive cause for divine favor.
No specific Vedāṅga technique is taught directly; the practical takeaway is the ritual principle of pūjā requiring inner completeness (aśūnya-bhāva)—i.e., sincere intention and steady observance—rather than mere formal performance.
