त्रिविधा हंसभेदेव श्रृणु तां च यथाक्रमम् । हंसाद्ययाऽद्या मध्या स्यादादिमध्यस्थहंसया ॥ २६ ॥

Transliteration

trividhā haṃsabhedeva śrṛṇu tāṃ ca yathākramam | haṃsādyayā'dyā madhyā syādādimadhyasthahaṃsayā || 26 ||

Translation

いま「ハンサ（Haṃsa）」と呼ばれる韻律の三種の区分を、順を追って聞け。第一は「haṃsa」で始まるもの、中間の型は中央に「haṃsa」を置くもの、そして最後の型は「haṃsa」が初めと中央の両方に立つものである。
