It links precise ritual performance (yathokta-vidhi) with tangible and subtle results—health and longevity through dūrvā-homa, and inner refinement (knowledge and eloquence) through offerings connected with Chandra, Guru, and the Devas.
Bhakti here is expressed as faithful adherence to prescribed worship—offering oblations to divine powers (Devas, including Chandra and Guru) with reverence—showing devotion through disciplined ritual action rather than mere sentiment.
Jyotiṣa/Vedic astrology is implied through Chandra and Guru (graha-devatā associations) and the idea that specific offerings yield specific results; it also reflects Kalpa (ritual procedure) through emphasis on performing the homa exactly as instructed.
