Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: vira
It presents a technical prayoga (ritual application) where specific homa materials are said to yield specific worldly results, illustrating the Purana’s third-pada focus on applied sacred sciences rather than purely philosophical discourse.
Direct bhakti is not the primary topic here; the verse belongs to a ritual-technical section. In the Narada Purana’s framework, such rites are subordinate aids, while devotion to Vishnu remains the higher aim beyond worldly influence.
Ritual prayoga knowledge aligned with Kalpa (procedural aspects of yajña/homa): selecting specific dravyas (offerings) for intended results and applying them in the fire-rite context.
