Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada on technical ritual propriety)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bibhatsa
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It emphasizes ritual purity and scriptural restraint: offerings must conform to dharmic and Kalpa-based injunctions, otherwise the act loses sanctifying power and becomes a source of demerit.
It indirectly supports bhakti by teaching that devotion is not mere emotion but disciplined worship—offerings and rites should be aligned with śāstra so that worship remains sattvic and acceptable.
Vedāṅga Kalpa (ritual procedure) is foregrounded: it classifies acceptable vs. improper bali materials and reinforces that yajña-related acts must follow precise prescriptive rules.
