私はヴェーダの母に礼拝する。甘露の円輪の中央に住し、その本質は濃密なる歓喜の甘露である。言葉を超え、心の及ばぬ方、願いを授ける恩寵の与え手よ。
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti (devotion)
Secondary Rasa: shanta (peace)
The verse venerates Vedamātā (Sarasvatī) as the transcendent source of Vedic revelation—blissful, nectar-like, and ultimately beyond the reach of ordinary speech and mind—yet compassionate as a giver of boons to sincere seekers.
Bhakti is implied through reverent surrender: the devotee approaches the divine source of sacred knowledge with humility, acknowledging her as beyond conceptual grasp while trusting her grace to bestow understanding and spiritual fulfillment.
It points to the sanctity of vāk (speech) and mantra: mastery of Vedic learning and disciplines like vyākaraṇa (grammar) and śikṣā (phonetics) depends on purity of speech and divine favor from Vedamātā, the presiding power behind correct recitation and comprehension.
