Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It standardizes a complete sādhana sequence—japa, homa, and tarpaṇa—showing that mantra practice is traditionally sealed by offering (homa) and ritual satisfaction (tarpaṇa) to make the practice efficacious and goal-oriented.
While technical in tone, it supports bhakti-sādhana by emphasizing disciplined repetition and offerings; devotion is expressed through sustained japa and sacrificial acts performed with purity (ghee-homa) and completion rites (tarpaṇa).
It highlights ritual science (kalpa/vaidika-kriyā): fixed numerical measures for japa and homa, the use of ghṛta as the oblation substance, and tarpaṇa as a concluding/fruit-yielding rite within a structured procedure.
