彼は泣くこともあり、幾度呼びかけられても聞こえぬかのようなこともある。ある時は倒れ、ある時はまた起き上がる――しかし彼はただシヴァの智に満ち、至上の歓喜にすっかり浸っていた。

It describes outwardly irregular bodily and social responses (weeping, not responding, falling, rising) that can occur when a realized person is absorbed in Śiva-jñāna and flooded by paramānanda, emphasizing inner attainment over external appearance.
Although framed as Śiva-jñāna, the verse points to single-pointed absorption (eka-niṣṭhā) where the devotee’s inner experience of the Lord becomes so intense that ordinary reactions and attention to speech diminish—an advanced fruit of deep devotion and contemplation.
The verse aligns with Vedanga-adjacent discipline through yogic and contemplative markers—recognizing states of absorption (samādhi-like overwhelm) and distinguishing inner realization from mere external ritual performance.
