The Account of Hanumān

Narrator (Purana narrative voice; traditionally Suta conveying the account)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: vira (heroic)
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta (wonder)
It highlights fearlessness (niḥśaṅka) born from accepting divine instruction—when the deity commands, the devotee acts without doubt, trusting dharma and protection.
Bhakti here appears as prompt obedience and trust: the devotee follows Maheśa’s command immediately, showing surrender (śaraṇāgati) rather than hesitation.
No specific Vedāṅga technique is taught in this single verse; it functions as narrative instruction emphasizing disciplined compliance with ājñā (authoritative command), a principle relevant to ritual conduct (kalpa) in practice.
