The Greatness of the Gaṅgā

Gaṅgāmāhātmya

यानि क्षेत्राणि पुण्यानि समुद्रान्ते महीतले । तेषां पुण्यतमं ज्ञेयं प्रयागाख्यं महामुने ॥ ९ ॥

yāni kṣetrāṇi puṇyāni samudrānte mahītale | teṣāṃ puṇyatamaṃ jñeyaṃ prayāgākhyaṃ mahāmune || 9 ||

大いなるムニよ、海に囲まれたこの大地にある数多の功徳ある聖地の中で、最も功徳が勝れるのは「プラヤーガ」と呼ばれる地であると知れ。
