The Description of Mārkaṇḍeya
सत्कथाश्रवणे येषां वर्त्तते सात्विकी मतिः । तद्भक्तविष्णुभक्ताश्च ते वै भागवतोत्तमाः ॥ ५२ ॥
satkathāśravaṇe yeṣāṃ varttate sātvikī matiḥ | tadbhaktaviṣṇubhaktāśca te vai bhāgavatottamāḥ || 52 ||
清らかな（サットヴァ的な）理解が聖なる物語を聴聞することに安住し、また主の帰依者にも、ヴィシュヌにも等しく信愛を捧げる者—その者こそバ―ガヴァタの中の最勝者である。
