Viṣṇor Māhātmya
पशुपक्षिमृगादीनां जन्तूनामन्तकोपमः । कदाचित्कामसन्तप्तो गन्तुकामो रतिं स्त्रियः ॥ ३२ ॥
paśupakṣimṛgādīnāṃ jantūnāmantakopamaḥ | kadācitkāmasantapto gantukāmo ratiṃ striyaḥ || 32 ||
彼は牛や鳥や鹿などの生きものにとって、まさに死神のごとき者であった。だがある時、欲望の熱に焼かれ、女と交わる官能の楽しみを求めて旅立った。
