Mokṣopāya: Bhakti-rooted Jñāna and the Aṣṭāṅga Yoga of Viṣṇu-Meditation
जपेन देवता नित्यं स्तुवतः संप्रसीदति । तस्मात्स्वाध्यायसंपन्नो लभेत्सर्वान्मनोरथान् ॥ ९६ ॥
japena devatā nityaṃ stuvataḥ saṃprasīdati | tasmātsvādhyāyasaṃpanno labhetsarvānmanorathān || 96 ||
ジャパによって、常に讃嘆する者に対し、神格はいつも深く満悦される。ゆえに、スヴァーディヤーヤ(聖典の自習と誦読)に具わる者は、あらゆる願いを得る。
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that steady japa and heartfelt praise (stuti) directly invoke divine grace, and that svādhyāya strengthens this devotion so a seeker gains fulfillment of worthy aims.
Bhakti is shown as a repeatable daily practice: praising the deity and doing mantra-japa with constancy, supported by svādhyāya, which deepens remembrance and attracts the deity’s prasāda (favor).
The verse points to svādhyāya—disciplined recitation and study of sacred texts—which traditionally relies on correct pronunciation and chanting method (Śikṣā) and accurate wording (Vyākaraṇa) for effective japa.
