盗みなどの過失を離れ、恩を知り、真実を語り、清浄であり、他者利益に励む者—その人は天(デーヴァ)にも阿修羅にも等しく礼拝されるに足る。
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in a dharma-upadesha context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: karuna
It defines the inner qualifications of a truly venerable person: freedom from common vices (like theft), gratitude, truthfulness, purity, and active compassion—virtues that elevate one beyond ordinary social praise to universal reverence.
Bhakti is strengthened by character: truthfulness (satya), purity (śauca), and service to others (paropakāra) remove obstacles that disturb the mind, making devotion steady and worthy of honor.
No specific Vedanga technique is taught in this verse; it emphasizes practical dharmic discipline—ethical restraint, truthful speech, and purity—which supports all sacred study and ritual practice.
