Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 33

Tithi-Nirṇaya for Vratas: Ekādaśī Rules, Saṅkrānti Punya-kāla, Eclipse Observances, and Prāyaścitta

ग्राह्या स्यादपराह्णस्था कुहूः पैतृककर्मणि । यथार्वाचीनवृद्धौ तु संत्याज्या भूतसंयुताः ॥ ३३ ॥

grāhyā syādaparāhṇasthā kuhūḥ paitṛkakarmaṇi | yathārvācīnavṛddhau tu saṃtyājyā bhūtasaṃyutāḥ || 33 ||

祖霊供養(paitṛka-karman)においては、クフー(Kuhū)のティティがアパラーフナ(aparāhṇa、午後)に当たるなら採用してよい。だが近親の新亡者のための儀(ārvācīna-vṛddhi)では、「ブータ(bhūta)」の穢れに交じるティティは捨てて避けよ。
