सूत उवाच । एतन्निशम्य सनकोदितमप्रमेयं पुण्यं हरेर्दिनभवं निखिलोत्तमं च । पापौघशांतिकरणं व्रतसारमेवं ब्रह्मात्मजः पुनरभाषत हर्षयुक्तः ॥ १ ॥
sūta uvāca | etanniśamya sanakoditamaprameyaṃ puṇyaṃ harerdinabhavaṃ nikhilottamaṃ ca | pāpaughaśāṃtikaraṇaṃ vratasāramevaṃ brahmātmajaḥ punarabhāṣata harṣayuktaḥ || 1 ||
スータは語った。サナカが説いた、量り知れぬほどの功徳に満ちた最上の教え—ハリの聖なる誓戒日、万日の中の最勝にして、罪の奔流を鎮める誓いの精髄—これを聞き終えると、ブラフマーの子は歓喜に満ちて再び語り出した。
