Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: Tiladāna-vrata
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It elevates a simple dharmic act—tiladāna performed as a vrata—by declaring that devotion (bhakti) makes its merit equivalent to great Vedic sacrifices, emphasizing accessible righteousness for all.
The verse explicitly states “bhaktyā”—the inner devotional intent is the multiplier of merit, showing that sincere devotion can yield results traditionally associated with elaborate yajñas.
Ritual-practice knowledge is implied: it contrasts vrata/dāna with a śrauta yajña (Vājapeya), highlighting applied dharma-ritual competence (kalpa-oriented understanding) rather than grammar or astrology.
