Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that Purāṇa-hearing should be sanctified by prior worship—approaching the scripture as an act of devotion performed before the deity, not merely as storytelling or study.
Bhakti is expressed through reverent pūjā (offerings like fragrance and flowers) and then śravaṇa (listening). The verse places devotion and presence of the Lord at the center of receiving Purāṇic wisdom.
Ritual order (krama) and proper procedure for worship and recitation are emphasized—practical dharma aligned with kalpa-style discipline (correct sequencing of offerings and performance).
