赤熱した鉄の寝床に横たわり、鉄の重荷の下に縛り付けられること。偉大なる魂よ、このような無数の苦痛が何億となく存在するのです。
Sanatkumāra (teaching Nārada in dialogue)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhayanaka
Secondary Rasa: raudra
It stresses karma-phala: sinful actions mature into intense suffering, prompting a dharmic life and sincere repentance so the mind turns toward liberation rather than repeated pain.
By vividly portraying the consequences of adharma, it creates vairāgya (dispassion) and urgency—conditions that traditionally lead seekers to take refuge in Bhagavān (especially Viṣṇu) through bhakti and right conduct.
No specific Vedāṅga technique is taught in this verse; the practical takeaway is ethical discipline (dharma) and avoidance of pāpa, which underlies effective ritual life and any prayāścitta prescribed in śāstra.
