कौबेरमथ याम्यं च चक्राते वरुणस्य च ॥
tāv eva sūryatāṃ tadvad adhikāraṃ tathaindavam | kauberam atha yāmyaṃ ca cakrāte varuṇasya ca ||
「その二者はみずから太陽の職を担い、また月の権威をも掌握した。さらにクベーラ、ヤマ、そしてヴァルナの方位守護の統治権をも奪い取った。」
Adharma is depicted not only as moral evil but as functional chaos—unqualified forces occupying sacred offices, causing imbalance in cosmic and social order.
Cosmic governance within Manvantara-kathā: it describes the disruption of lokapāla functions, a typical purāṇic marker of a crisis requiring avatāra/śakti-prādurbhāva.
Usurpation of solar/lunar and directional powers symbolizes the takeover of inner faculties (prāṇa, mind, wealth-energy, restraint, fluidity) by egoic forces—necessitating the reinstallation of rightful ‘regents’ through Devī’s grace.
