Adhyaya 77 — Sanjna’s Withdrawal from Surya: The Birth of Yama and Yamuna, and the Emergence of Chhaya
षट्सप्ततितमः सप्तसप्ततितमोऽध्यायः- ७७
मārkaṇḍeya uvāca
मार्तण्ड रस्यवेर्भार्या तनया विश्वकर्मणः ।
संज्ञा नाम महाभाग तस्यां भानुरजीजनत् ॥
ṣaṭsaptatitamaḥ saptasaptatitamo 'dhyāyaḥ- 77 mārkaṇḍeya uvāca mārtaṇḍa rasyaverbhāryā tanayā viśvakarmaṇaḥ / saṃjñā nāma mahābhāga tasyāṃ bhānur ajījanat
マールカンデーヤは言った。「高貴なる者よ、サンジュニャー（Saṃjñā）という名の、ヴィシュヴァカルマン（Viśvakarman）の娘は、マールタンダ（Mārtaṇḍa、太陽神）の妻となった。彼女において、バーヌ（Bhānu、太陽）は子孫をもうけた。」
