तमसा चावृते लोके तामसोऽयं भविष्यति ॥

Transliteration

tāmasīṃ bhajamānāyāṃ yoniṃ mātary ajāyata / tamasā cāvṛte loke tāmaso 'yaṃ bhaviṣyati

Translation

彼はタマス（tamas）の性を帯びた胎に入った母より生まれた。世が闇に覆われていたゆえ、彼は「ターマサ」（Tāmasa）と呼ばれるであろう。
