The verse frames sensual comfort as a persuasive argument; the ethical tension is whether pleasure can substitute for one’s rightful duties and place (svadharma and sva-gṛha).
Primarily ākhyāna (narrative instruction) rather than sarga/pratisarga/manvantara/vaṃśa/vaṃśānucarita; it functions as dharma-upadeśa embedded in story.
‘Desired bed’ and ‘fragrant anointing’ symbolize the mind’s self-justifying pleasures; the test is whether consciousness remains anchored in truth rather than sensory persuasion.
