एते भौमा द्विजश्रेष्ठ । स्वर्गाः स्वर्गगुणाधिकाः ।
न तासु पुण्यपापानामपूर्वाणामुपार्जनम् ॥
ete bhaumā dvijaśreṣṭha svargāḥ svarga-guṇādhikāḥ | na tāsu puṇya-pāpānām apūrvāṇām upārjanam ||
これらは地上の天界である、ブラーフマナのうち最勝者よ——天界の徳相に満ちている。そこでは新たな功徳も罪も得られない。
