शतार्धकोटिविस्तारा पृथिवी कृत्स्रशो द्विज ।

तस्या हि स्थानमखिलं कथयामि शृणुष्व तत् ॥

Transliteration

mārkaṇḍeya uvāca |

śatārdha-koṭi-vistārā pṛthivī kṛtsraśo dvija |

tasyā hi sthānam akhilaṃ kathayāmi śṛṇuṣva tat ||

マールカンデーヤは言った。「二度生まれし者よ、地の全き広がりは、幅において『百五十コーティ』と量られる。私はその全体の配置と構造を余すところなく説こう—聞きなさい。」
