उच्चावचानि भूतानि गात्रेभ्यस्तस्य जज्ञिरे ।
सृष्ट्वा चतुष्टयं पूर्वं देवासुरपितॄन् प्रजाः ॥
uccāvacāni bhūtāni gātrebhyas tasya jajñire | sṛṣṭvā catuṣṭayaṃ pūrvaṃ devāsura-pitṝn prajāḥ ||
その御身の諸肢より、高き類と低き類の衆生が生まれた。まず四種—神々(deva)、阿修羅(asura)、祖霊たるピトリ(pitṛ)、および子孫・衆生(progeny)—を創り、さらに造化を進めた。
