ससर्ज शब्दतन्मात्रादाकाशं शब्दलक्षणम् ।
आकाशं शब्दमात्रन्तु भूतादिश्चावृणोत्ततः ॥
sasarja śabdatanmātrād ākāśaṃ śabdalakṣaṇam | ākāśaṃ śabdamātraṃ tu bhūtādiś cāvṛṇot tataḥ ||
音の微細なる本質より、彼はākāśa(虚空・エーテル)を生じさせた。それは音を相(しるし)とする。ついでbhūtādiは、その音のみを性質として具える虚空を包み覆った。
