पुलस्त्य उवाच
Pilgrimage and ritual bathing at eminent tīrthas is presented as a powerful dharmic act whose merit extends beyond the individual, benefiting one’s lineage—symbolically expressed as redeeming seven generations of ancestors and seven generations of descendants.
Pulastya is instructing about the fruits of visiting and bathing at major sacred sites such as Puṣkara, Kurukṣetra, and the Gaṅgā, emphasizing the extraordinary spiritual efficacy attributed to these tīrthas.
