इयं पौरववंशस्य जननी मुदितेति ह । त्वामहं दृष्टवांस्तत्र विज्ञायोत्फुल्ललोचन:,“यह आनन्दमयी उर्वशी ही पूरुवंशकी जननी है, ऐसा समझकर मेरे नेत्र खिल उठे और इस पूज्य भावको लेकर ही मैंने तुम्हें वहाँ देखा था। कल्याणमयी अप्सरा! तुम मेरे विषयमें कोई अन्यथा भाव मनमें न लाओ। तुम मेरे वंशकी वृद्धि करनेवाली हो, अतः गुरुसे भी अधिक गौरवशालिनी हो”
iyaṃ paurava-vaṃśasya jananī muditeti ha | tvām ahaṃ dṛṣṭavāṃs tatra vijñāyotphulla-locanaḥ |
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「『この方こそ、喜悦のウルヴァーシー—パウラヴァ家の祖母なる御方』と思い至り、私の眼は歓喜に輝いた。その敬虔な理解をもって、私はあの場であなたを拝したのだ。吉祥なるアプサラスよ、私について誤った思いを抱いてはならぬ。あなたは我が血統を増し広げるお方、ゆえに師に対する以上の尊崇に値する。」
