इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत वनपर्वके अन्तर्गत कुण्डलाहरणपर्वमें सूर्य-कर्ण-संवादविषयक तीन सौ दोवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ

Transliteration

iti prakāraṁ śrīmahābhārate vanaparvake antargata-kuṇḍalāharaṇaparvaṇi sūrya-karṇa-saṁvāda-viṣayakaḥ trīśata-dvitīyo 'dhyāyaḥ samāptaḥ

Translation

かくして、『シュリー・マハーバーラタ』林住篇（ヴァナ・パルヴァ）「耳環奪取」の段において、スーリヤとカルナの対話を主題とする第三百二章は終わった。ここに物語は一つの区切りを迎え、神の諭しと人の決意とのあいだに横たわる道義の緊張を際立たせ、施与・名誉・宿命をめぐるカルナの選択に倫理の枠組みを与えるのである。
