Duryodhana’s Śaraṇāgati and the Pāṇḍavas’ Resolve

यात्यमोघो महायक्षो दक्षिणं पक्षमास्थित: । मालाधारी जृम्भकगण, यक्ष तथा राक्षसोंसे सुशोभित महायक्ष अमोघ भगवान् शंकरके दाहिने भागमें रहकर चल रहा था
yāty amogho mahāyakṣo dakṣiṇaṃ pakṣam āsthitaḥ | mālādhārī jṛmbhakagaṇa-yakṣa-tathā rākṣasaiḥ suśobhitaḥ mahāyakṣa amogho bhagavān śaṅkarasya dāhine bhāge sthitvā calati sma |
マールカンデーヤは語った。「アモーガ(Amogha)と名づけられた大夜叉は進み出て、右方の位を占めた。花鬘をまとい、ジュリンバカ(Jṛmbhaka)の群れ、夜叉、羅刹らに壮麗に随従され、その剛なる夜叉アモーガは、主シャンカラ(Śaṅkara)の右に寄り添ったまま行進した――それは、栄誉ある近侍と神への篤い奉仕を示す徴であった。
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse highlights the ethic of reverent order: powerful beings display devotion and proper conduct by taking an honored yet subordinate position beside the deity (the right side signifying auspicious proximity and service).
Mārkaṇḍeya describes the great Yakṣa Amogha moving along while stationed on Śaṅkara’s right, adorned with garlands and accompanied by groups of Jṛmbhakas, Yakṣas, and Rākṣasas—depicting Śiva’s majestic entourage in motion.
