चित्रसेनगन्धर्वैः कौरवसंनिपातः

अर्चितस्तु स्तुतश्वैव सान्त्वयामास ता अपि | समस्त भूतगणोंसे घिरे हुए भगवान् स्कन्दने उन देवसेनाओंको अपने समीप पाकर उन्हें सान्त्वना दी और स्वयं भी उनके द्वारा पूजित तथा प्रशंसित हुए
arcitastu stutaścaiva sāntvayāmāsa tā api |
マールカンデーヤは言った。「正しく供養され、讃えられたのち、主スカンダはその神々の軍勢をも慰めた。あらゆる生類の群れに取り囲まれつつ、彼は天軍を身近に迎え、恐れを鎮め、そして彼自身もまた彼らにより敬われ称えられた――指揮官の務めとは、怯える者の心を固め、驕らずに崇敬を受けることだ。」
