अध्याय १९० — वामदेव-वाम्य-वृत्तान्तः
The Vāmadeva Horses Episode and the Ethics of Promise
आखयातस्ते मया चात्मा दुर्जेयो हि सुरासुरै:,ब्रह्मर्ष! इस प्रकार मैंने तुम्हें अपने स्वरूपका उपदेश किया है, जिसका जानना देवता और असुरोंके लिये भी कठिन है। जबतक महातपस्वी भगवान् ब्रह्माका जागरण न हो, तबतक तुम श्रद्धा और विश्वासपूर्वक सुखसे विचरते रहो
ākhyātaste mayā cātmā durjeyo hi surāsuraiḥ, brahmarṣe |
神は言った。「われは今、わが真の本性を汝に告げた。まことにそれは、神々にも阿修羅にも悟り難い。ゆえに、梵仙（brahmarṣi）よ、大苦行者にして主たる梵天（Brahmā）が目覚めるまで、信と確信に支えられ、安らかに歩み続けよ。」
