कृतयुगवर्णनम् तथा राजधर्मोपदेशः

इति श्रीमहाभारते वनपर्वणि मार्कण्डेयसमास्यापर्वणि अष्टाशीत्यधिकशततमो<ध्याय:

かくして、『聖マハーバーラタ』の「ヴァナ・パルヴァ（森の巻）」における「マーラカンデーヤ・サマーシャ（マーラカンデーヤの集成）」の部、第百八十八章は終わる。これは章末の奥書（コロフォン）であり、章の閉幕を告げるとともに、逆境のただ中での行いを導くために教訓と譬例を集めた「森の巻」全体の倫理的・叙事的枠組みの中に本章を位置づけるものである。
