कृतयुगवर्णनम् तथा राजधर्मोपदेशः
Kṛtayuga Description and Instruction on Royal Dharma
साध्यान् रुद्रांस्तथा5<दित्यान् गुह्मकान् पितरस्तदा । सर्पान् नागान् सुपर्णाश्च वसूनप्यश्चिनावपि
vaiśampāyana uvāca | sādhyan rudrāṁs tathādityān guhyakān pitaras tadā | sarpān nāgān suparṇāṁś ca vasūn apy aśvināv api | pṛthvīpate! sādhya-rudrāditya-guhyaka-pitṝn sarpa-nāga-suparṇa-vasūn aśvinīkumārān gandharvān apsaraso yakṣān tathā ṛṣīnām api mayā darśanaṁ kṛtam | daitya-dānava-saṁghān nāgān siṁhikā-putrān (rāhv-ādīn) anyāṁś ca deva-śatrūn api apaśyam | rājan! asmin loke mayā yad yat sthāvara-jaṅgamaṁ dṛṣṭaṁ tat sarvaṁ tasya mahātmanaḥ kukṣau me dṛṣṭigocaram abhavat | mahārāja! ahaṁ pratidinaṁ phalāhāraṁ karomi, asmin sampūrṇe jagati ca paryaṭāmi |
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「地の主よ、われはサーディヤ、ルドラ、アーディティヤを見た。グヒヤカと祖霊（ピトリ）をも見た。蛇とナーガを、スパルナ（大いなる翼ある者）を、ヴァスを、さらにはアシュヴィン双神をも見た。さらにガンダルヴァ、アプサラス、ヤクシャ、そしてリシたちをも見た。ダイティヤとダーナヴァの群れ、シンヒカーの子ら—ラーフのごとき者—および他の神々の敵をも見た。王よ、この世でわれが見た動くもの、動かぬもののすべてが、あの大いなる魂の腹中において、ことごとくわれの前に現れた。そして大王よ、われは日々果実を糧として生き、この全世界をなお巡り続けている。」
