युगेष्वावर्तमानेषु धर्मो व्यावर्तते पुन: । धर्मे व्यावर्तमाने तु लोको व्यावर्तते पुन:,युगोंके परिवर्तन होनेपर आनेवाले युगोंके अनुसार धर्मका भी हास होता जाता है। इस प्रकार धर्मके क्षीण होनेसे लोक (की सुख-सुविधा)-का भी क्षय होने लगता है
yugeṣv āvartamāneṣu dharmo vyāvartate punaḥ | dharme vyāvartamāne tu loko vyāvartate punaḥ ||
ビーマは言った。「諸々のユガが巡り、次々と移り変わるにつれ、ダルマもまた時代に応じて道を外れ、衰えてゆく。ダルマがかくして衰えるとき、世界そのものもまた衰退する。秩序も安寧も、人の命を支える諸条件も、共に減じてゆくのだ。」
