कस्य त्वमसि वामोरु वने5स्मिन् कि करोषि च । इच्छाव भगद्रे ज्ञातुं त्वां तत्तमाख्याहि शोभने,“वामोरु! तुम किसकी पुत्री और किसकी पत्नी हो? इस वनमें क्या करती हो? भगद्रे! हम तुम्हारा परिचय प्राप्त करना चाहते हैं। शोभने! तुम सब बातें ठीक-ठीक बताओ”
kasya tvam asi vāmoru vane 'smin kiṁ karoṣi ca | icchāvaḥ bhagadre jñātuṁ tvāṁ tattvam ākhyāhi śobhane ||
「美しき腿をもつ方よ、あなたは誰の娘で、誰の妻なのか。この森で何をしているのか。幸いなる女性よ、あなたの素性を知りたい。麗しき方よ、事の次第をありのまま明らかに語ってほしい。」
