य: स पाज्चालराजेन प्रेषित: कौरवान् प्रति,पांचालराज ट्रुपदने अपने जिन पुरोहित ब्राह्मणको कौरवोंके पास भेजा था, उन्होंने वहाँ पहुँचकर उस विशाल सेनाके जमावको देखा
yaḥ sa pāñcālarājena preṣitaḥ kauravān prati | pāñcālarājā drupadena svapurohita-brāhmaṇo yān kauravān prati preṣitaḥ sa tatra gatvā tāṃ mahatīṃ senā-samāgamaṃ dadarśa |
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。「パンチャーラ王ドルパダがカウラヴァのもとへ使者として遣わした婆羅門の祭官は、到着するや、彼らの軍勢が広大に集結しているのを見た。その光景は、聖職の使者によってなお外交が試みられているにもかかわらず、戦へ向かう意志がいよいよ固くなっていることを示していた。」
