ततः सूते हते तस्मिन् क्षिपतस्तस्य मे शरान् | प्रमत्तमनसो राम: प्राहिणोन्मृत्युसम्मितम्
tataḥ sūte hate tasmin kṣipatastasya me śarān | pramattamanaso rāmaḥ prāhiṇon mṛtyusammitam ||
ビーシュマは言った。「その御者が討たれたのちも、なお私へ矢を浴びせ続ける中、私は—心の守りが一瞬ゆるみ—パラシュラーマの矢を斬り落としていた。するとラーマ（パラシュラーマ）は、死そのもののごとく恐るべき一矢を私に放った。」
