वाचको भरतमश्रेष्ठ व्यक्ताक्षरपदस्वर: | भविष्यं श्रावयेद् विद्वान् भारतं भरतर्षभ
vācako bharataśreṣṭha vyaktākṣarapadasvaraḥ | bhaviṣyaṃ śrāvayed vidvān bhārataṃ bharatarṣabha ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「おお、バラタ族の最勝者よ。語り手は学識ある者であり、あらゆる音節・語・声調を明晰に発して誦すべきである。かくして『バーラタ』を人々に聞かせよ、バラタ族の雄牛よ。また（ハリヴァンシャの伝承に従い）『バヴィシュヤ』の章も誦すべきである。」
