आदी तु वाचकं चैव वस्त्रगन्धसमन्वितम्‌ | विधिवद्‌ भोजयेद्‌ राजन्‌ मधु पायसमुनत्तमम्‌

Transliteration

ādau tu vācakaṃ caiva vastra-gandha-samanvitam | vidhivad bhojayet rājan madhu pāyasaṃ anuttamam ||

Translation

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「初めに、王よ、語り手（誦者）を法にかなって敬い—新しい衣をまとわせ、香油を塗って荘厳し—ついで作法どおり、甘き蜜と最上のパーヤサ（乳粥）を食してもらうべきである。」
